What is the difference between KAZE Jr and KAZE Mini?
KAZE Mini = KAZE Jr. They are the same make, size, and construction. We’re transitioning the naming to KAZE Mini currently. KAZE Mini is recommended for kids between 2 to 12 years old, as well a adults with small faces.
What is the main difference between the different models?
We recommend adults start with our KAZE Original KN95. These are 5-ply for maximum protection. Then try the KAZE Light. These are 3-ply, which favor breathability in hot and humid regions. KAZE Mini are 5-ply, but cut a little smaller for kids under 12yo, and adults with small faces. Sizing wise, we recommend adults try it in this order - KAZE Original, Light, Mini. Sizing for kids, KAZE Mini / Jr, then KAZE Light.
Why “non-medical”?
Although we have done a full battery of tests and received certifications, we market KAZE as “non-medical” and print this on every box. To declare as “medical”, the masks need to be tied around the back of the head. Our product team came up with the adjustable ear loop design that gives most people a customised fit. We hope KAZE may be used by everyone rather than serving the medical community alone.
Is KAZE KN95?
We occasionally make changes to the product packaging. But the KN95 wording will always be placed on the box. You will see “KN95” in small print, on the side.
Where are the certs?
KAZE’s test certs for each product is located on each of our product pages online. Just click on the “View here” hyperlink.
What is KAZE made of? KAZE Original, Mini, Light are made of varying plies of meltblown, cotton, and non-woven.
Who is KAZE and where is it made? KAZE is a team based in Hong Kong. The manufacturing takes place in mainland China.
Is KAZE NIOSH approved?
The straight answer is no. For being NIOSH-approved would make KAZE not user-friendly, as the approval means the mask need to be tied in a knot at the back of the head. KAZE has passed all filtration efficiency test at Nelson Labs for NIOSH, but have decided not to alter our design with comfort features such as the adjustable ear loop tabs.
Is KAZE Original KN95? KAZE Original is KN95. Available on each product page. Also, view the cert here.
Is KAZE Mini KN95? KAZE Mini is KN95. Mini is also GB38880-2020, the standard for child-mask-sized respirators. Mini is made of the same construction and materials as our KAZE Original KN95 and has passed similar tests. Available on each product page. Also, view the cert here.
What spec is KAZE Light? KAZE Light is GB/T32610-2016. KAZE Light is also EN14683 Type IIR, which is EU's highest spec for 3-ply masks. Available on each product page. Also, view the cert here.
What size is KAZE Original? Please see KAZE Original measurements here.

Please read our Refund Policy at the footer. Before you purchase, we highly recommend you check for fit info on our product and FAQ pages. Due to hygiene safety reasons, items may not be returned once order is placed.
Why isn't "KN95" stamped on the box or the mask? We make changes to our packaging from time to time. We do not print "KN95" on the mask for aesthetic purposes. KAZE Original and KAZE Mini are KN95.
